    The purpose of this study to examine the problems about the theory on architecture according to the phenomena of dwelling in the Japanese classical Literature. In this paper, Japanese poetry such as Tachibana Akemi's Waka and Inoue Seigetsu's Haiku then a travel book Kaidouki written in the Kamakura period as texts, we would like to shed light on the scenery of the Japanese dwelling based on the precedent studies of Masuda Tomoya and Tanaka Takashi and so forth, core member of so-called Kyoto-School.
