     More details

This study elucidates the drawing techniques and drawing methods of early modern “Sashizu”shashizu and “Tiwarizu”. This paper clarifies the scale of the “Konpontyudo” in the "Eizan bunko" collection. The six drawings of “Konpontyudo” in the "Eizan bunko" collection were thought to have been drawn at 1/20 scale, based on the descriptions of the outer title and inner title. However, after examining the measurements of the dimensions of each member derived from each drawing, we found that the heights of the outer and inner ground plan drawings of Groups B and C were drawn at a scale of 1/20. However, it was revealed that the horizontal column spacing was drawn at a scale of approximately 1/25 in all six drawings.
